Pope Francis: Address to Clergy, Religious, and Seminarians

Pope Francis did not follow his prepared speech this morning in Ecuador, but spoke 'off the cuff' to Seminarians, Priests, Sisters, and other Consecrated Religious.  He gave his  two-point 'recipe' for fruitful religious service.

1.) Remember that you've been given a free gift, nothing you have is due to anything you've earned.  All you have and all you have become is because of God's free gift (Grace) to you. (

2.) Remember where you came from. Don't lose your spiritual memory, keep your memory healthy and don't develop spiritual alzheimer's.  Live in humility.

It was a heartfelt talk and the Holy Father chose to give it rather than his prepared message. He said we could read his prepared speech later online.
