Cardinal Donald Wuerl's New Book, "Seek First the Kingdom"

"In this insightful and highly relevant book, Cardinal Donald Wuerl makes the case that Catholics do not have the option of absenting themselves from the world, taking refuge in a completely private spirituality. As citizens of two worlds, it is precisely within the context of our faith that we can play a decisive role in transforming American society while furthering the goals of the kingdom of God." I've always enjoyed Cardinal Donald Wuerl's books, and I have a feeling his newest one will be my favorite. "Seek First the Kingdom" just came out this week and I'm excited to read it. I've scanned a preview of this new hardcover and am happy to see a lot of discussion about and explaination of the New Evangelization. Cardinal Wuerl explains that the Holy Father's hope and purpose of the New Evangelization is "to re-propose the perennial Truth of Christ's Gospel".

Cardinal Wuerl shows us how all Catholics can make a big difference in bringing our American culture back to a more Christian focus and environment. And we, as Catholics, can begin by being ready and willing to make the New Evangelization, not just a one-time process, but a continuous, diligent way of life.

"We are--all of us--called to water, nurture, and cultivate those seeds already sown, or to plant new seeds where we recognize the opportunity...every Catholic can make a difference.
This is the New Evangelization."
(Cardinal Donald Wuerl, "Seek First the Kingdom")

This book is an exciting and important read with which to start off the New Year and the New Evangelization!
